I used her D3300 this weekend, giving my D810 a break, and I was nicely surprised at what a fine little camera it is. Light, compact, quiet, and most importantly, great image quality. Nikon has really packed a lot of desirable features into the D3300, like a high res 3″ monitor, external mic input, 24mp sensor. The next model, the Nikon D5300 is also on sale at Adorama. It’s slightly larger but includes a swing out monitor which is preferred for video.
